Short History of English Law – Edward Jenks

This is a well written and pretty comprehensive book.

It is true it is of some age but when researching the law in,  say, the 1300’s (as I have done),  the fact it was written a hundred years ago makes little difference.  Its advantage is that the reader does not get bogged down in some massive tome and it is always on hand to explain how the law evolved.

If not being sold I would probably have had it rebound as it is that worthwhile.
