The 1907 trial notes of Mr Justice Darling for Capital offences.

With manuscript notes of the trial of Harry Southcliffe in November 1907 at Winchester Crown Court on trial for strangling Bessie Burchell the parties having agreed to die together. Also includes in back inside cover what are probably the Judge’s notes for summing up.

Southcliffe was found guilty and sentenced to hang but later reprieved.
